2K BOT
This little animatronic robot sits on your shoulder and likes to chat. Commissioned by RALPH CREATIVE for 2K GAMES, this little fellow made his debut at GAMESCOM in Germany in 2013.
Translating 2D drawings into a 3D model is challenging, particularly when the model has to move and light up while securely attached to a person that could operate the robot ‘live’ on the show floor!
The robot was modelled in Blender and then 3D printed on a desktop FDM printer in ABS. After lots of cleaning, spraying, refining, painting and assembling, the 2K Bot jumped on a plane to Germany!
