MAKING A SPLASH.
Cosmima is a jewellery collective and wanted me to develop an idea they had for a splash pin to commemorate their 10th anniversary.
I built the small splash shape in the 3D software, Blender and then sent off a CAD file to Digits2Widgets who 3D printed it on one of their SLS printer in Nylon. A few minor adjustments were needed before printing 100’s of them!
Once printed, they were checked over and then finished in a vibro-finisher. Cosmima wanted a range of different colours, 8 in total. The white splashes were then dyed and the pin fixed onto the back so they could be pinned onto your jacket or jumper.
Customers bought several of them to wear together as a group, making a colourful splash to any outfit!
